About
No one is ever prepared to become a victim of crime—but it can happen to anyone.
If it happens to you, let us be your first call.
Victim Services was created in response to a need recognized by community members including crime victims, concerned citizens, and non-profit organizations, to support those impacted by crime. We serve victims of crime in Crow Wing County by offering support, information and advocacy.
If someone commits a crime and you’re the victim, we are here to help. It could be theft, assault, harassment, vandalism, fraud, arson; even homicide. No matter the crime, someone is often left dealing with physical injury, financial loss or emotional stress.
At Victim Services, we understand what you’re going through. We take the time to listen, support you and help you navigate the criminal justice process. We also provide the services necessary to cope with the impact of the crime, including assistance with applying for financial support, if needed.
Not all crimes are reported, and not every criminal act results in an arrest. Regardless of whether you’ve filed a police report, you can speak with one of our advocates to better understand your options.

We are a non-profit, tax-exempt organization, funded in part by a grant from the Minnesota Department of Public Safety and other supporting grants. All of our services are free and confidential. Victim Services does not discriminate based on race, color, national origin, religion, sex, disability, or age.
